It was a pleasure to welcome Dr Julian Hellaby today for our November Lunchtime Concert. Julian played a delightful selection of piano pieces for us. He gave us the opportunity to hear composers and works we may not have been familiar with. Julian’s excellent skills caught our imaginations and we became engrossed in the sonatas and toccata and were transported to the wild sea and the dance floor! We also had the treat of a Smetana encore. Our thanks go to Julian for a splendid recital. We look forward to his return next year.
