A small but appreciative audience greeted Louisa Fuller and Charlotte Brennand from Millbrook Ensemble for an evening of Chamber music performed on violin and piano on 8 June during StonyLive week. David set the mood for the evening with his introductions.
After a few words from Louisa and Charlotte regarding their programme of music, they started the concert with Clara Schumann's Three Romances followed by Edward Elgar's Chanson Du Matin and Chanson du Nuit.
They continued with Rebecca Clarke's Lullaby and Nadia Boulanger's Nocturne.
This took us to the interval and refreshments served by some of the Music for All @ SMSG volunteers.
Several complimentary comments were made about the concert.
After the interval David reintroduced Louisa and Charlotte, who set the scene for the final part of the concert when they played all of Brahms Sonata in G major op 78.
Sue and Janet presented Charlotte and Louisa with flowers as David thanked them and the helpers for making the evening such a success and thanked the audience for their support. It was a very pleasant way to spend an evening of StonyLive week.
