Many of the audience came today because they had heard one of the performers before, so there was an air of expectancy as 12:30pm approached.

The programme that Peter Eales, Simon Woodhead and Joe Laredo had in store for us exceeded expectations in its variety, delivery and great good humour. We heard music by Handel, Bizet, Flanders and Swann and Gilbert and Sullivan, to name just a few. As well as tenor and baritone solos and duets, Joe also played piano solos for us.

An encore was vigorously requested by everyone and so we had the joy of hearing “A Transport of Delight (The Omnibus)” a second time.
