Today’s Monthly Monday Organ Recital was given by Jonathan Kingston, who stepped in at the last moment due to unforeseen circumstances. We are very grateful for his willingness to play (and being available to play) at such short notice.
Our enthusiastic audience was delighted by the music and the excellent way Jonathan shows off our Father Willis Organ in grand style. The choice and variety of the music took us from a whisper to a mighty thunder and back again, by way of illuminating tones and colours and all the emotions conveyed in those contrasts. Jonathan’s lively commentary on the music to be played enhanced our enjoyment of it tremendously. We all came away having learned and heard something new, as well as having the chance to re-hear some more familiar pieces. Thank you Jonathan!
