Milton Keynes Youth Choir with guests The Reluctants gave a glorious Christmas Choralfest to over 100 people during the afternoon of Saturday 12th December in St Mary and St Giles church.  The Youth Choir was conducted by Craig McLeish with Penny Miller at the piano.  The Reluctants sang a Capella except when they sang with the Youth Choir at the end of the concert.  At the beginning of the second half MK Youth Choir sang Panis Angelicus from the gallery, standing in front of the organ console and flanked by the new casework and gold painted pipes.  They look forward to singing with the organ at a future concert (it is only be used for worship until April 2016).

Music for all at SMSG provided the refreshments for the concert (which raised £137 for the organ project) while the choir ran a raffle.  Several parents helped with front of house at the concert and tidying up afterwards.  Dave gathered comments from people at the end which included "really enjoyable concert", "Wonderful singing from such a young choir", "I wish I was fifty years younger so I could join in", "A lovely mix of music to get you into the Christmas spirit" and "We came to support our young singers and were not disappointed.  It was magnificent."
