Richard Dunster-Sigtermans travelled from Rugby to give a splendid recital today. His choice of music met with great approval! He played J.S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in A minor BWV 543 before moving to the 20th Century music of Albert de Klerk. These four pieces (of Twelve Images) lasted only a minute each, but were so individual and varied, whetting the appetite to hear them all. The music of G. F. Handel and Leon Boëllmann completed the recital in grand style, showing off the organ in all its glory.
We are very grateful to Richard (and Des, his page turner) for a wonderful lunchtime experience. We are very fortunate to have talented organists come to share their musical talents, to inform, entertain, and give us such pleasure.
£140.40 was donated for our Organ Maintenance Fund. Thank you, as always, to our lovely audience!
