We provided music for all ages at the Organ Festival - we even included a percussion workshop for very young pre-school children in our lineup of events.
This was held in St Mary and St Giles Church school because the church was not available on the Saturday morning.
The weather was awful however several parents and their toddlers braved the rain and joined Lesley, Sue W and Kieran in the school hall to enjoy a variety of percussion instruments and clapping songs.
They used cymbals, drums, shakers and boomwhackers, danced and clapped during the hour.
Five of the children were able to participate in music making, 1 child was a very young baby who was not bothered by all the different sounds the children were creating.
The boomwhackers were used as sound pipes to explore pitch with a very simple familiar tune (Twinkle Twinkle little star) and all the children loved the drums!
