We had waited two years for Geoffrey Allan Taylor and Valerie Kirby-Ashmore, Apol Duo, to be able to present this concert. Everyone was delighted to be able to hear it today and be part of an enthusiastic audience. 
Geoffrey on piano and Valerie on violin took us from the music of Corelli in 1700 to Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story 60th anniversary in 2021. We also heard the music of Henry Purcell, Richard Rodney Bennett, Mozart, Sibelius and Stravinsky, as well as one of Geoffrey's own compositions. The theme of 'Onward the Dance' linked each piece very nicely with the next and weaved a story throughout.
It was a very pleasant way to spend a lunchtime, with grateful thanks to both musicians.
