Singing for Fegan's Court residents
Carol Singing to collect for a nominated charity in the lead up to Christmas Day is something the Parish family has done for more than 40 years. Different streets in the parish are chosen each year. Sometimes this was done 5 nights in a row.
In recent years we've reduced this to 2 nights because there have been so many other musical events going on in Stony Stratford.
On Tuesday 20 December a small group did the whole of Clarence Road and on 22 December a larger group including several of the Parish Singers sang for the residents of Fegan's Court who had gathered in their communal sitting room.
We stood outside their open French doors until they brought us tea and mince pies then invited us inside so the doors could be shut and we sang some more carols.

After leaving Fegan's Court we sang Carols in Church Street (where we saw through a window a newborn baby being held as his mother listened to the singing) and York Road before going to the Rectory for mulled wine and snacks.
The following morning SMSG church band and some of the Parish Singers played carols in Market Square for the Farmers Christmas Market for the busy shoppers. All collections this year were for the Winter night shelter for the homeless - we raised £173.93.
