September band concert

September band concert

It was quite strange to be playing a concert again with the other band members in SMSG church after more than 18 months since we had last been allowed to play any concerts, because of pandemic restrictions.

We chose a Saturday afternoon during the (postponed from June) StonyLive week in early September for the concert. Thank you Lesley for guiding us through lots of new music which she sent to us while we were meeting weekly via Zoom during 2020 and the first 5 months of 2021. When we first reconvened in May 2021, we started playing our new pieces together for the first time (impossible via Zoom). This concert programme was mostly new music though with a few old band favourites too.
