John Neal plays the Willis organ for the Musical Bite

Our final Musical Bite Coffee morning of the 2015/2016 winter on Saturday 12 March featured the Willis pipe organ being played! Several seasons of Musical Bites had helped raise the money for its restoration so it was great to use it for the musical theme this time.  John Neal accompanied refreshments with some quieter organ playing (not pulling out the loudest stops).

A steady stream of people arrived during the morning for coffee, tea, cakes and conversation.  Comments from people included the following:

"How lovely to hear the organ."

"Beautiful music"

"You have all done so well – there are many who could do with seeing how you’ve organised things here."

"Such a wonderful achievement."

Dai, Jeff, Anna and Lesley served refreshments.  John Neal played the organ and about 50 people including 4 children came into the church during the Musical Bite which raised £95.40 for the organ project.
